Western Reserve Catering's mission is to provide safe, well balanced, and nutritious meals right to your home. Since 2001 we have served 13 counties in Northeast Ohio. We recognize that adequate nutritional intake plays a significant role in the maintenance of health and longevity. It is our desire to look for new and innovative meal planning for our consumers. We will work to provide you with the best quality meals in the best interest of you.

First, find out if you are eligible for funding and then contact us to get started.

Next we will get a referral from your case manager/waiver service coordinator. After that a customer service representative will contact you to go over meal planning and set up a delivery schedule that fits your schedule.

Get ready for your delivery! Your meals are delivered frozen but are already fully cooked. You can store them in your freezer as is. Follow the heating instructions below to enjoy your delicious meal! 

Heating Instructions for Meals:

Microwave Oven (1000 watts): Heat meal for 2 1/2 minutes on high. Heat an additional 1-2 min in 30 sec intervals to reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F

What type of people do you serve? We serve people who qualify for programs such as: MyCare Ohio (Buckeye, CareSource, United HealthCare), Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), Ohio Home Care Waiver, and Traditional Passport

How do I find out if I am qualified? To see if you qualify please contact the Agencies or Programs  listed above under Step 1 of getting started. Once you contact the Agency or Program they will get you in touch with the correct Case Manager and make a referral as needed.  

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver to 13 counties in Northeast Ohio including Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain,Medina (Region 10-A), Portage, Stark, Summit, Wayne (Region 10B), Ashtabula, Columbiana, Mahoning,and Trumbull (Region 11).

What is the time range on the first delivery? We will give an approximate window of 3 hrs. After the first delivery, it will be around the same time every week there after. 

What should I expect on my first delivery day? 

A Western Reserve delivery representative will come to your door and knock. If you desire, they will offer to put away your meals. They will provide a welcome packet that includes heating instructions and HIPPA paperwork that you can review. You will also receive a business card that has our contact information in case you need switch something or have any questions. There will be no paperwork that needs filled out as all your enrollment paperwork will already be filled out prior to your first delivery with your case manager. You will be required to sign a form that you received your delivery. Once the driver establishes the route to include you, your delivery should arrive around the same time each week. 

Can I substitute foods that I cannot eat? We at WRC understand that you may not be able to eat certain meal items because of health reasons. We hope to review all of your diet restrictions prior to your first delivery during your nutritional assessment. If a food item does get delivered that you cannot consume please do not hesitate to contact the office so we can provide you with safe and nutritious meals. 

Do you accept new consumers through referrals? A referral must be from a case manager, waiver service coordinator, or service and support administrator from the Programs or Agencies listed above in Step 1 of getting started. Once we receive the referral we will contact you to go over a nutritional assessment form (which determines what type of diet you should be on renal, diabetic, gluten free, regular, or no restrictions), the different types of food we offer, and set up the first delivery day and three hour window to receive your delivery. 

What does my delivery include every week? We shall ensure to provide you one or two safe nutritious meals per day depending on the benefits you are receiving. Your case manager will decide with you how many meals you will receive. We provide healthy, frozen, ready to eat, dietician approved, home delivered meals. Just heat and serve following the heating directions. All WRC meals meet the current dietary guidelines for RDA and ADA.  

What is included in my meal? While following all RDA and ADA guidelines, our dietitian approved meals include a main dish, frozen vegetable, fruit, roll with a pat of butter, and milk or juice of your choice. Choices of milk include skim, 1%, 2%, whole, and low-fat chocolate. We do also offer orange juice and a variety of snacks.  

Is my delivery always weekly and at the same time? Yes, the WRC driver will deliver once a week on the same day every week. If the driver is running behind for unseen circumstances, the driver will call the office and we will notify you of the delay so that you are able to plan your day. 

Are my meals always frozen? Yes your meals will always arrive frozen. 

Can someone else accept my meals? All consumers are required to sign a form provided by the driver when they receive their delivery. If you are unable to or would prefer another person in the home to sign for your meal, written authorization is required from the case manger, waiver coordinator, or service and support administrator.
